A colourful Indian fusion wedding at The Henry Moore Foundation.
Their wedding was a colourful celebration that united two families at beautiful setting of The Henry Moore foundation in Hertfordshire. Sunny and Lauren’s marriage took place on a perfect summer’s day and honoured the groom's Indian heritage with elements of a traditional country barn wedding, a true reflection of their relationship.
Morning preparations started at the couple’s home where the Sunny was adding the finishing touches to his outfit with his groomsmen. Meanwhile, just a short journey at way Lauren’s family home was also abuzz with activity as the bridal party were reaching the final stages before a short car ride to the venue. As a wedding videographer, it’s always great when I’m able to film both groups getting ready. It’s especially easy when the venue has accommodation or if the couple are based close to the venue which was the case for Lauren and Sunny.
The ceremony took place in the Aisled barn which is also home to Moore’s tapestries and artworks. It was an emotional moment when Lauren walked up the aisle with her bridesmaids, made even more special by two friends who sung and played the guitar. Afterwards, whilst the barn was prepared for the wedding breakfast, guests enjoyed drinks and canapés in the grounds which had been decorated with pretty umbrellas and colourful garlands.
Once the meal and speeches were complete, it was time for the evening celebrations to start. Whilst the DJ and saxophonist were setting up however, there was a moment to capture some couple shots with the most spectacular sunset. Within the grounds, surrounded by some friendly sheep, stands a huge mound adorned with a very large and distinctive sculpture. It didn’t take long for Lauren and Sunny to climb to the summit and it was a great moment for them to have a quiet time along together whilst the photographer and I were documented the scene from a distance.
On arriving back to the tipi, guests greeted them wearing orange and yellow garlands before taking to the dance-floor for an evening of fun and merriment.
